These are some details on local shops and their history.
Truffles Delicatessen
| Truffles Deli stocks everything a deli should and more! There are Cheeses, Salamies, Olives and all types of Drinks in abundance.
Most of the cakes, quiches, salads and pastries are made in the shop. If that isn't enough they also sell home made sandwiches, coffee, cappucinos, lattes and smoothies that are made to order plus home made
soup and salad selections. This is all made in the kitchen at the back of the deli where the team can be seen hard at work. Many products are sourced locally and Truffles stocks the best of Herefordshire and surrounding counties they also some great Italian and
Spanish lines amongst others. Truffles Deli is a foodie haven for young and old alike.

History
Heal's Shop
In from the 1930's to the 1960's or 70's, 46 to 48 High Street was Heal's shop. Heal's was a General Drapers and a Ladies and Childrens outfitters.
Number 46 High Street can be seen in the far left of the postcard below left.
The photo below right shows Mr. & Mrs. R. F. Heal in part of their shop (more specifically 46 High Street) in 1957.

Ross Old Books is a traditional second-hand and antiquarian bookshop run by Chris and Carol Lowndes offering something for everyone.
The general stock is enhanced by a large collection of books on art, antiques and collecting and a good range of Folio Society editions.
The ephemera cabinet is always worth a browse plus they also sell old postcards of the area.
