Entry

The gates opened at around 7 pm as it started to cool at the end of another hot and humid day. The public started to filter in initially passing the curry, pork roll and bar-b-que stalls as they made a bee-line for the well stocked beer tent, which sold a variety of real ales, lagers and soft drinks.

They also had a special guest to sing with them.

The Crowd

As Giles continued to play, so the crowd started to build up from a few dozen people to many hundreds.

Main Event

The main event was The Blues Brothers Show "Sweet Home Chicago" and Blues Bullet Band. They rocked the place and everyone throughly enjoyed the interaction between the band and the crowd. There was even a group in the crowd dressed up for the event (the 'supporters') who got throughly excited when the Blues Borthers Show appeared on stage, and lovedit even more when Pete and Ed called them down to the front to further lift on the crowd participation.

As it grew dark, and the beer flowed, so more and more people moveddown to the front for a good boogie. Many sweaty people passed us by as we chatted just out of the crowd. I am sure (and hope) this will be a band seen again at the festival!!
