Before the livestock market moved to Overross Industrial Estate on Netherton Road, it was located down at the junction of Homs Road, Greytree Road and Trenchard Street where Old Market Close is now situated. These are some photos of the Livestock Market before it moved.
Ross Market Bar used to be the only place in town that had a license to sell alcohol on a Saturday afternoon.
