Wilton Castle
Open day
9th September 2006
Wilton Castle sits on the banks of the Wye close to the fording point that is now bridged by Wilton Bridge.
On the 9th September the castle opened it's gates to the public for the day.
The grounds were approached from the south from beside the river Wye and the first picturesque view was of part of the ruins of the south tower with the house behind it.
