Ross-on-Wye

I have always lived in the Ross-on-Wye area, only moving away to go to University to study Electronic Engineering.

In my spare time I have always had an interest in running web sites and helping people. For about three years I ran an independent support and development site, Swarf.net, for a Perl based message board system called Ikonboard. The boards popularity then decreased as PHP became the language to use and so I then moved on to assisting with the design and development of another PHP message board called ICT.

I had been interested in photography for quite a long time but in late 2005 I bought a new camera. I initially had no ideas about what to photograph so I created several sites, TheVista & Slys, about places I visited and other things I thought were worth making into a web page.

I am also interested in local history so I decided to combine that with what I had learnt in my previous projects to make this site about Ross-on-Wye.
